10 Big Hole in the World

1. Darvaza Gas Crater


Derweze areas rich in native gas. Following the history, geologists in 1971 inadvertently encounter a subterranean cave full of original gas source. 2. Kimberley Diamond Mine

3. Monticello Dam

5. Great Blue Hole

There are many blue holes in the world but can not match the greatness of a blue hole on this one. He has also become a World Heritage Site United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

6. Mirny Diamond Mine

The second largest man-made hole in this world is a diamond mine located on the outskirts of Mirny, a small airport in eastern Siberia. Excavation encountered on Jun 13, 1955 by Soviet geologists Yuri Khabardin, Ekaterina Elagina and Viktor Avdeenko Amakinsky during the Expedition. Excavation is 525 meters (1720 feet) deep and has a diameter of 1,200 m (3.900 ft). 7. Diavik Mine

Diavik Diamond Mine is a diamond mine in Northwest Territories North Region, Canada, about 300 kilometers (186 stone) north of Yellowknife.
